Bubble Text Generator
Convert text to โทโคโโโโ bubble letters (circled Unicode). Works anywhere โ Twitter, Instagram, Discord.
What is Bubble Text?
Bubble text uses Unicode ‘Enclosed Alphanumerics’ (U+24B6 onwards) and ‘Enclosed Alphanumerics Supplement’ (U+1F150 onwards) blocks to display Latin letters and numbers inside circles. Two styles: outline bubbles (โถ โท โธ) where the letter sits inside a hollow circle, and filled bubbles (๐ ๐ ๐ ) where the letter is white on a dark circle. These render as real characters — pasteable in Twitter bio, Instagram captions, Discord, gaming usernames, decorative Pinterest pins. Originally designed for academic numbered lists (โ โก โข) and Japanese/Korean text annotations, but widely adopted for stylized social media branding.
How to use this tool
- Type your text — Letters and numbers convert; symbols and spaces stay regular.
- Pick bubble style — Outline (โถ-โ) or filled (๐ -๐ ฉ) variant.
- Copy result — Plain text — pastes everywhere.
- Use in posts/bios — Social media, usernames, decorative captions.
Unicode bubble character ranges
Outline bubble:
- Uppercase: U+24B6 to U+24CF (โถ to โ)
- Lowercase: U+24D0 to U+24E9 (โ to โฉ)
- Numbers 1-9: U+2460 to U+2468 (โ to โจ)
- Number 0: U+24EA (โช)
Filled bubble:
- Uppercase: U+1F150 to U+1F169 (๐ to ๐ ฉ) — supplementary plane
- Numbers: U+24F5 to U+24FE (filled digits)
Filled bubbles look bolder and more attention-grabbing. Outline bubbles are subtler — classic ‘option A, B, C’ style.

Tips & best practices
- Filled bubbles stand out more — better for usernames and headlines
- Outline bubbles work well as numbered list dividers
- Numbers โ -โฉ are common in academic and Japanese-style writing
- Some old Android devices render bubbles as boxes — preview before posting
- Mix bubble letters with emoji for layered aesthetic: ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ฅ๐ ๐ ๐
- Bubble text works in Discord usernames — great for branded identity
Limitations & notes
Filled bubbles (U+1F150+) are in Unicode’s supplementary plane — some older systems may not render them correctly. SEO doesn’t recognize bubble Unicode as the same as plain letters. Screen readers may say ‘circled letter A’ character-by-character — hurts accessibility. For accessibility-critical text, use regular letters with CSS styling on websites.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do bubble letters work everywhere?
Outline bubbles (โถ to โ) work on almost all modern devices since the 1990s. Filled bubbles (๐ to ๐ ฉ) need Unicode 6.0+ support (most devices from 2012 onwards).
Can I use bubble text in usernames?
Yes on Discord, Steam, Twitter (with character limits). Instagram username field requires Latin letters — can’t use bubbles for handle, but works in display name.
Why are some letters missing in filled bubble?
Filled bubble alphabet is complete for A-Z. Numbers and lowercase have less coverage — substitute with regular characters or outline variant.
Are bubble letters real fonts?
No — real Unicode characters built into all modern systems. Real bubble fonts would only work in design tools; Unicode bubbles work in any text field.
Can I use bubble text in passwords?
No — passwords require ASCII characters. Bubble Unicode will fail login validation.
How do bubble text look on Apple devices?
Excellent — Apple’s SF Pro font renders both outline and filled bubbles perfectly. iPhone, iPad, Mac all display crisp bubble letters.
Will bubble text affect my Instagram SEO?
Slightly — Instagram search may not match bubble-style text as keywords. Use bubble for display name (visual flair), keep main bio text in plain letters for discoverability.
